Coach Intro

I am from Chicago but got to Texas as fast as I could. I was totally into fitness in High School. I ran Cross-Country, and Track & Field all four years. After High school, I joined the U.S. Army where I met my beautiful wife. We spent the next 25.5 years on Active duty. During that time, we ‘grew” three children. I served as an Enlisted Soldier, a Noncommissioned Officer, a Warrant Officer, and a Commissioned Officer. Because of my love for fitness, I attended the U.S. Army Master Fitness Trainer Course where I graduated at the top of my class. I also graduated from the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant School and served in this training capacity for 2 years. I have literary trained thousands of Soldiers and Civilians, to be physically and mentally fit. My love for functional fitness, strength & conditioning, and weight training, has propelled me into a deeper level of Coaching Functional Fitness and Olympic/Power Weightlifting for the last 12 years+. Shortly after coming back to Texas to live, I joined OBK when our owners were holding classes in their garage. I’ve never felt more at home. I am truly honored to be an Athlete and Coach for this amazing gym.

I am a man of faith. I not only believe I can do all things through Him who gives me strength, I believe the same is true for you. I have a passion to see every athlete I train, attain their highest level of fitness. I love coaching human movement, as it relates to correct form and body mechanics. I have a strong desire to help athletes become the best version of themselves. I am highly energetic, mission-focused, and passionate about helping athletes succeed in the gym and in life.
